In this update, we have focused on the user in an effort to make our app more user-friendly. These updates and adjustments are thanks to our users, who we listen to and thank for their suggestions.
What did we add?
- Help directly in the app
- Automatic logout 15 minutes – 8 hours
- Clarify layout: categories (servers and domains)
- Domain detail – check if the domain is directed to the server
Help directly in the app
Based on the most common questions, we have created help pages for pages where users ask a lot of questions. The link for the module is then on the right side (e.g. How to add a domain). The link leads to our blog with a description of the functionality of part of the application or to the documentation of the technology used.
Automatic logout 15 minutes – 8 hours
In order not to bother users with automatic logging out of the app, we have added the ability to define how long it will take for the user to be logged out. The settings are made in the user profile editing.
The setting options are:
- 15 minutes
- 30 minutes
- 60 minutes
- 2 hours
- 4 hours
- 8 hours
Keep in mind that security comes first and really set a time interval depending on how you use the app. You have the option of combining your user account security with two-factor authentication (2FA) and, if you have a static IP address, limiting logins to IP addresses.
Clarify layout: categories (servers and domains)
The ability to classify servers and domains into their own category helps you navigate through the application more easily. This shows at a glance what the server/domain is for. The actual setting of categories when creating them has been replaced with a better UX layout. Domains and servers can then be categorized from both server and domain details. However, the category must be created in advance.
Domain detail – checking if the domain points to the server
For a domain, you can now see the status of whether the domain has DNS records already pointed to the server’s IP address. This will make it easier for the user to distinguish whether it is possible to obtain an SSL certificate. If the domain is hidden behind a proxy server, it will always show that the domain is not pointing to the server.
